The lifespan of Pawskinz depends on your dog's activity level. As they are a thermal sock, constant use will eventually lead to tearing. They are designed for temporary, short-term paw protection. To extend the life of your Pawskinz, ensure your dog’s nails are trimmed regularly to prevent punctures

We recommend not walking your dog on ground temperatures exceeding 100°F. Pawskinz can be used for short periods on pavement up to 120°F.

This is normal. It's a new sensation for your dog to have anything on its paws. Even though Pawskinz are made of a soft, jelly-like material, it will take a few minutes for your dog to adjust.
Pawskinz are a first-of-their-kind product, positioned between a sock and a rubber shoe. The material and ergonomic fit make them comfortable for dogs, while also offering protection and soothing relief from environmental elements.
All dogs can benefit from paw protection, but it depends on the individual dog. Some dogs are averse to having their paws touched. All dogs will likely walk differently initially due to the unfamiliar sensation, but they usually adapt quickly.

Constant contact with pavement and rough surfaces can lead to torn or damaged paw pads, which is very painful for dogs. It's similar to humans walking constantly with cuts and sores on the bottoms of
their feet.
For temporary use during walks, light hikes, short periods on hot pavement or rough terrain, if your dog has a sore paw pad, or for traction on smooth surfaces.
Pawskinz need to be exposed to light before they can glow in the dark. For the best results, place them under direct sunlight or a bright light source for a few minutes before use.
