Pawskinz worn on the front paws will always wear out first, due to the front claws. Refill Kits are available to replace Pawskinz one by one as they wear out and recycle used ones.

Because of Pawskinz is meant to be loaded one at a time, at the moment of use. Because of its TPE material, the paw protector cannot be stretched 100% beyond its capability, for periods of time. Like a rubber band that is pulled beyond its capability, it will snap and shred if pulled on too hard.

Getting your dog used to new gear, especially paw coverings, takes time. Just like a new pair of shoes for a human, Pawskinz also has a break-in period.

2. Have treats on hand! This makes the experience more pleasant for your dog and aids in training.

3. Trimmed claws will help with comfort and will help extend the life of your Pawskinz.

4. Once all four paw protectors are on, be ready to be on the move! Guide your dog to around walk to get the awkward shakes out. And you are good to go! Observe them to ensure all four protectors are on properly, and make any necessary adjustments.
